8-Position IDC Receptacle for Discrete Wire Harnesses
The 0.098" (2.50mm) pitch is standard across the HR family, keeping the footprint consistent whether you use a 2- or 16-position housing. The black housing and closed-end design prevent wire push-through on the last cavity.
Wiring and Termination — IDC Fit
This works reliably only with the specified 24 AWG wire; a different gauge will either not cut through the insulation or will damage the contact beam. The Tin-Lead contact finish is typical of older JST IDC parts; if your build requires RoHS compliance, check the material declaration for this date code.
Mating and Cross-Reference
The detent lock on the receptacle engages a matching notch on the header. No direct second-source cross is listed; the HR series is JST-proprietary in its IDC variant, so the build locks to the JST header.
