The JST 100R-JMDSS-G-1-TF(S)(LF)(SN) is a 100-position receptacle from the JMD series, designed as the board-mount half of a fine-pitch mezzanine interconnect. With a 0.020" (0.50mm) pitch across two rows, it pairs with the matching JMD plug to create a board-to-board stack at one of three mated heights: 4.5mm, 5mm, or 6mm.
Stack Height Selection and Board Layout
The three stacking heights — 4.5mm, 5mm, and 6mm — give the board designer flexibility to set the gap between parallel PCBs without changing the receptacle footprint. The 0.50mm pitch demands careful trace routing: each row of 50 contacts on a 0.50mm grid leaves tight clearance for via fanout between pads, so a microvia or HDI stack-up is typical for the inner rows. The 0.122" (3.10mm) height above board is the receptacle's own profile; the total stack height is the sum of the receptacle and plug heights, so confirm the mating plug's spec against your board spacing.
