Tight-Pitch IDC Receptacle for 36 AWG Discrete Wire
The closed-end housing protects the contact beams from stubbing during handling, and the integrated strain relief clamps the cable jacket to take tension off the IDC termination. Tin-plated contacts are standard; the plating grade is suited for the limited mating-cycle duty of an internal harness, not repeated field disconnect.
Wire Gauge and Termination — 36 AWG Only
The IDC termination is gated to 36 AWG — the slot width and insulation displacement geometry are fixed at the factory for that wire diameter. Using a different gauge risks an incomplete cut or a loose grip. The strain relief is part of the housing body, not a separate boot, so the cable jacket must sit flush against the back wall before termination.
