At 32 AWG, the wire itself is fine enough to fit the IDC slot without forcing the insulation, but the closed end is what prevents a mis-terminated wire from exiting the housing. This receptacle mates with JST SUR series male pin headers (sold separately). No stripping or crimping is required, but the tooling must match the 0.80 mm pitch and the wire gauge.
