The 0.031" (0.80 mm) pitch matches standard 0.80 mm ribbon cable and pairs with a 2x10 pin header on the board side. The natural housing is closed-end — the cable stops at position 20 with no open back, which prevents the wire bundle from pushing through during assembly.

The 20-position count on a single row at 0.80 mm pitch gives a 15.2 mm body length (19 spaces × 0.80 mm). That footprint is fixed — the mating header must match both the pitch and the position count exactly.
