The tin contact finish keeps cost low for moderate mating-cycle duty — expect reliable performance in applications where the cable is inserted once or infrequently during the product life.
This avoids pad damage during assembly. The slide lock also provides vibration retention — the cable won't back out under moderate shock.
It is RoHS compliant.
The connector accepts FFC or FPC with a thickness of 0.30 mm and a tapered cable end. Using a cable outside these dimensions will prevent the ZIF mechanism from locking properly and may cause intermittent contact.
It is a bottom-contact connector. The FPC or FFC must be inserted with the contact pads facing downward toward the PCB. A flipped flex will short the wrong row and fail to mate.
