JST ZH Series 2-Pin SMT Header — Signal-Duty Interconnect
It uses a 1.50mm pitch, which is tighter than the common 0.100-inch pitch, saving board space while remaining compatible with hand-soldering or reflow. The tin-plated contacts (both mating and post) are suited for moderate mating-cycle duty in controlled environments.
Shrouded Housing and Detent Lock for Reliable Mating
Mated stack height is 6.4 mm, which sets the z-axis clearance needed for the mating receptacle. Confirm this height against your enclosure and adjacent components before layout.
SMT Termination with Pick-and-Place and Solder Retention
Surface-mount termination with pick-and-place compatible packaging (Tape & Reel, Cut Tape) and solder retention features simplify automated assembly. No through-hole wave soldering required — the part is designed for reflow.
Mating Connector and Peer Comparison
This header mates with JST's ZH-series crimp receptacle housings (e.g., ZHR-2) using the appropriate crimp terminals. The 2-position, 1.50mm pitch, detent lock interface is standard across the ZH series. Compared to the through-hole sibling B2B-ZR (5.6 mm stack height, bulk packaging), the SM4-TFT variant adds pick-and-place compatibility and solder retention for SMT assembly. The 4-position sibling B4B-ZR-SM4-TFT shares the same pitch, stack height, and features but doubles the circuit count.
