Single-end turret terminal, through-hole staking flare
The 1520-3 is Keystone Electronics' single-end turret terminal — a non-insulated brass terminal with tin plating, designed for through-hole mounting via staking flare. Overall length is 0.328" (8.33mm), with 0.187" (4.75mm) above the board and a turret head diameter of 0.075" (1.91mm). The staking side OD is 0.078" (1.98mm) and the mounting hole diameter is 0.082" (2.08mm), fitting a board thickness of 0.093" (2.36mm).
Board fit and staking flare termination
Termination uses a staking flare — the terminal body is pressed into a 0.082" (2.08mm) mounting hole and the flange side (0.125" / 3.18mm) seats against the board. The flare locks the terminal in place without solder, though soldering is compatible for additional mechanical strength. The turret head (0.075" / 1.91mm) accepts wire wraps or solder connections. Tin plating on brass provides a solderable surface and corrosion resistance for general-purpose use.
