Press-fit pin socket for 0.084" to 0.102" pins
The 1640A is a Keystone Electronics PCB pin socket designed to accept pin diameters from 0.084" to 0.102" (2.13 mm to 2.59 mm). The contact is beryllium copper with 10.0 µin gold plating, terminated via a press-fit knurled barrel into a 0.138" mounting hole — no soldering required.
Mounting and pin acceptance range
The 0.138" (3.50 mm) mounting hole diameter and knurled press-fit barrel hold the socket in place without secondary retention. The 0.165" socket depth matches the overall length — the tail type is No Tail, so the socket sits flush with the board surface.
