It accepts 18-24 AWG discrete wire via spring-loaded poke-in terminals — strip the wire, push it in, and the spring contact holds it without a screw or crimp tool. Tin-plated contacts suit applications where the junction box is wired once and left undisturbed — common in lighting, appliance, and low-voltage control harnesses.
The poke-in termination accepts solid or stranded wire from 18 AWG down to 24 AWG.
