What Fits Into This Housing – Contacts and Mating Half
The housing accepts either male or female contacts, so the same shell works on both sides of the connection depending on which terminal you load. The mating half is the corresponding 2004 Series receptacle header — same 0.145" (3.68mm) pitch, same 2-row layout, same latch holder interface. The latch on the plug snaps over the ramp on the header; you hear it seat. No secondary lock needed for most applications, though the TPA (terminal position assurance) is handled by the contact design itself in this series.
