Pitch and Fit — What 0.100" Means for Your Harness
It matches the footprint of the mating header pins and the crimp terminal spacing inside the housing. If your existing harness uses 2.54mm-pitch KK254 headers, this housing drops onto the same layout — no board redesign needed.
The crimp terminals are a separate line item. For the KK254/7880 series, the standard mate is the Molex 2759 or 2878 series crimp terminal, which accepts 22-28 AWG wire. Section a sample crimp to confirm the wire strands are fully captured — the crimp height window is published in the terminal datasheet, and the wrong die will leave strands loose.
Locking Ramp — Vibration Duty
It resists un-mating under vibration better than a friction-only fit. For a field-service technician swapping a harness, the ramp latch is easy to depress with a small screwdriver — no special tool required.
