Board Layout Fit: Pitch, Rows, and Footprint
The 0010897161: With 16 positions loaded across two rows, the header occupies a 0.100" x 0.800" footprint plus the through-hole pads. This saves board space but requires the cable connector to be positively located during assembly. Through-hole termination with a 0.107" (2.71mm) post length gives a solid solder joint on standard 1.6mm PCBs.
Contact Interface and Plating Grade
Tin-plated mating contacts at 150.0µin (3.81µm) thickness — this is a heavy tin coating, good for moderate mating cycles (50-100) in dry indoor environments. Tin is cost-effective but does not match the corrosion resistance or cycle life of gold; if the application sees frequent connect/disconnect or a corrosive atmosphere, consider a gold-plated sibling. The copper alloy base material provides adequate spring force for the tin interface.
The glass-filled LCP material handles reflow temperatures without warping.
