6-Position IDC Receptacle for SL-Series Ribbon Cable
The housing is black, free-hanging (in-line), and shipped in a tube. This is the socket half of an SL-series wire-to-board or wire-to-wire interconnect — it mates with the corresponding SL 70066 or 70058 headers.
IDC Termination and Wire Gauge Fit
The IDC termination is designed specifically for 24 AWG wire — the slot width and insulation displacement geometry are optimized for that gauge. Using a different wire size risks an unreliable connection or damaged contacts. The connector accepts either discrete wires or ribbon cable, making it a standard choice for SL-series harnesses where the header is already on the board.
Contact Plating and Mating Cycles
The 15.0µin gold finish on the socket contacts is the standard SL-series plating for signal-level currents and moderate mating cycle counts.
