SL 70400 IDC Receptacle, 12 Circuits
Typical use is internal signal harnesses in consumer electronics, computer peripherals, and low-cost board-to-wire interconnects where the cable is built on a bench with an IDC press.
Pitch and Position Match
The 12 circuits must match the BOM line count exactly — the IDC slot array is fixed at 12 positions, so a 10- or 14-circuit header won't fit. The single row keeps the cable exit inline with the header pins, which matters for harness routing in tight enclosures.
IDC Termination and Wire Compatibility
This works for both discrete wires and ribbon cable, but the wire gauge is fixed at 24 AWG; a thicker or thinner wire will not seat properly. The closed-end feature prevents the cable from pushing through the back of the housing.
