Mini-Fit BMI 42475 Plug Housing, 4 Circuits, 4.20mm Pitch
It carries the Blind Mating feature, which guides the plug into the receptacle using integrated lead-in chamfers — useful in tight enclosures or behind panels where you cannot see the connector faces align. The housing is a 2-row, 4-position configuration on a 0.165" (4.20mm) pitch, with the same 0.165" (4.20mm) row spacing, giving you a compact 2x2 layout. Mounting is panel mount, snap-in — no screws or brackets, just push it through the cutout until the retention latches click. The connector type is a plug, meaning it carries the male pin contacts and mates with a receptacle housing.
For the Mini-Fit BMI series, the standard male pin contact is the Molex 44476 series (20-24 AWG) or the 45750 series (18-24 AWG), depending on your wire gauge. The mating female receptacle housing is the Molex 42474 series — for a 4-circuit version, look at the 0015060046 (which is the 4-circuit receptacle counterpart to this plug).
Blind Mating and Panel Mount
The Blind Mating feature is what sets the BMI (Blind Mating Interface) series apart from standard Mini-Fit connectors. The housing has chamfered lead-in surfaces that self-align the plug and receptacle during engagement, so you do not need to see the mating face — just push it together and the geometry does the alignment. This is a real time-saver on assembly lines or in field-service situations where the connector is tucked behind a bracket. The panel mount snap-in retention uses integral latches on the housing sides that engage the panel cutout. No separate hardware, no tools — just a clean push-fit into a rectangular hole.
