Board Layout and Pitch Match
The 0022032071: The 7-position single-row layout occupies 0.700" of board edge, leaving room for adjacent connectors or passives on the same pitch.
Both mating and post surfaces carry 60 µinch (1.52 µm) tin plating. Tin-to-tin interfaces are rated for 25-50 mating cycles in clean, dry environments — adequate for one-time assembly or infrequent disconnect. The square pin geometry (0.025" square typical for KK254) provides a reliable gas-tight connection when mated with a dual-beam receptacle contact.
This header mates with Molex KK254 crimp receptacle housings (series 6471 or 2695) using 0.100" pitch crimp terminals. The through-hole solder termination requires a 0.135" (3.43mm) post length below the board — sufficient for standard 1.6mm PCBs with wave or hand soldering. Board-to-board or cable style: the unshrouded header can serve as a board-mount plug for a cable receptacle or as a mezzanine jumper between two PCBs when paired with a mating header on the opposite board.
