What This Header Connects To
The tin-on-tin contact interface (200 µinch minimum on the mating side) is rated for 50-100 mating cycles, which suits equipment assembled once and serviced infrequently. It mates with Molex KK250 crimp receptacle housings (series 5045) that accept 22-28 AWG wire. The 1-wall shroud guides the housing during mating but leaves the contact tails exposed for solder inspection.
The 2.50 mm pitch gives 0.100-inch grid compatibility — a common footprint for general-purpose I/O and sensor harnesses. Overall contact length is 0.559" (14.20 mm), with 0.134" (3.40 mm) of post below the insulator for through-hole soldering. Nylon insulator (UL94 V-0) handles wave-solder temperatures without distortion.
