0.100" Pitch, 3-Position Header with Friction Lock
In an automotive or industrial cabinet where the harness sees occasional flex, that lock is worth having. Tin-plated mating finish at 60 µinch is the workhorse choice for moderate mating cycles — think 25–50 cycles over the product life. For a field-service connector that gets unplugged quarterly, that's a solid decade of service before contact wear becomes a concern.
Overall contact length is 0.560" (14.22mm), with the mating pin extending 0.295" (7.49mm) above the shroud. The single-wall shroud guides the mating connector into alignment but leaves the top of the pins exposed — it's a partial shroud, not a full enclosure. White nylon housing with UL94 V-0 rating means it won't sustain a flame in an enclosed equipment scenario — a standard requirement for industrial and medical gear. The brass square pins carry current reliably; the series is rated for signal-level loads typical of 2.54mm pitch headers.
