Mating Half and Terminal Selection
The latch lock engages the header's locking ramp for a vibration-resistant mate. The 22-position count matches a 22-circuit BOM line. Smaller-position housings from the same series share the same pitch and terminal.
No direct pin-compatible substitute exists from another manufacturer for this exact housing geometry. The Mini-Fit Jr 5557 series is Molex-proprietary in its latch and keying; a generic 4.20mm-pitch housing from another brand will not lock correctly. Stick with the 003901 base number for the receptacle side.
