5-Position 4.20mm Pitch Plug Housing — What It Is
It carries a 4.20mm pitch — wide enough to handle moderate power without forcing tight wire bends — and a single-row layout that keeps the harness narrow. Locking ramps on both sides click into the matching receptacle housing and hold under vibration; you'll hear the latch seat before the harness leaves your hand.
You need the matching Mini-Fit Jr male crimp pins to populate the 5 cavities.
Locking Ramp — Vibration Duty Without a Secondary Lock
The fastening type is a locking ramp, not a screw or bayonet. When mated, the ramp on the plug housing deflects over the ramp on the receptacle and snaps home. It holds against the kind of vibration you get on a moving vehicle or a conveyor line — enough that you don't need a secondary latch for most harness builds. The trade-off is that unmating requires pressing the ramp release, which takes two hands if the harness is stiff. For field-service swaps, plan for access to both sides of the connector.
