What You Need to Order Separately
Contacts are not included with this housing. You order the male or female crimp terminals separately — the housing accepts either gender, so pick the terminal that matches your wire gauge and the mating half. The crimp termination means you need the right applicator or hand tool for the MLX terminal family; if your shop already runs Molex.084 terminals, the tooling changeover is zero.
Mating Half and System Fit
This receptacle mates with the corresponding MLX 42022 male header or plug housing that uses the same locking ramp interface. The 2-position count matches a 2-circuit BOM line — confirm the mating half also carries 2 positions and the same.084 centerline pitch before committing. The free-hanging inline mount lets you route the harness without a board anchor, which saves a connector position on the PCB if you are wiring directly to a panel-mate.
