The Molex 0348944005 is an 8-circuit, 2-row sealed receptacle from the Mini50 34894 series, designed for compact, high-vibration wire-to-wire interconnects in automotive and industrial environments. It uses a 0.071" (1.80mm) pitch — tighter than standard 0.100" headers — which shrinks the connector footprint without sacrificing the contact count. The black polyamide housing carries a latch lock with Connector Position Assurance (CPA), meaning the lock has a secondary visual and tactile check that the connector is fully seated; water finds the open splice, and the CPA is the tell that keeps it sealed. The 1.80mm pitch is the dimension that decides the board layout — if you're routing to a header on the same pitch, the trace escape between pads is tight enough that a via-in-pad or dog-bone fanout is the usual call.
