Barrier Block for Panel Power Distribution
The Molex Beau 38770 0387700118 is an 18-circuit dual-row barrier terminal block with a 0.375" (9.53 mm) pitch, designed for chassis or panel-mounted power distribution in industrial control cabinets, HVAC equipment, and machinery junction boxes. The dual-wall barrier construction provides physical isolation between adjacent terminals, reducing the risk of accidental shorts from stripped wire strands. Integral mounting flanges allow secure attachment to the panel, preventing torque stress on the terminal screws from loosening the block during field wiring.
Top termination uses screw clamps that capture the wire in a closed tunnel (closed bottom), meaning the screw does not pass through the block and no exposed live metal appears on the underside. Each of the 18 circuits provides two wire entries (36 total), allowing daisy-chain or feed-through wiring where two conductors share the same terminal point. The 14-22 AWG wire range covers common panel wiring sizes from motor leads (14 AWG) to control signal wires (22 AWG). Steel terminal screws offer higher tensile strength than brass alternatives, supporting the torque values needed for reliable field connections without stripping.
For BOM planning, confirm the circuit count (18), pitch (0.375"), and mounting style (chassis/panel with flange) match your panel layout before committing.
