Barrier terminal block for high-current panel wiring
The Molex 0389690006 is a 6-circuit barrier terminal block from the 38969 series, designed for through-hole PCB mounting with PC pin termination. It uses a 3-wall (tri) barrier design that physically isolates each terminal position, reducing the risk of wire shorts across adjacent circuits in a crowded panel. The 0.500" (12.70 mm) pitch provides generous creepage distance to support the 600 V rating, while the 50 A per-circuit current capacity suits it for power distribution, motor controls, and industrial equipment where a single block terminates multiple heavy-gauge feeds.
Accepts 8-20 AWG wire. The 3-wall barrier isolates each terminal on both sides and the rear.
Top termination uses screws with a captive plate — the plate stays captured in the screw thread, so it does not drop out during wiring. The terminal screws are steel with nickel finish, giving good corrosion resistance in industrial atmospheres.
