Board-edge power header for harnessed assemblies
The Molex 0430450211 is a 2-position, dual-row header from the Micro-Fit 3.0 43045 series, designed for board-to-cable/wire interconnect. Rated at 8 A per circuit with a 600 V voltage rating, these contacts carry real power — think a DC power feed or a motor drive line, not a low-level signal.
The dual-row, 2-position layout uses a 3.00 mm row spacing, so the mating receptacle must also be a 2-circuit, dual-row Micro-Fit 3.0 part. No secondary locking mechanism needed on the header side; the terminal position assurance (TPA) is on the receptacle housing. Termination is solder — SMT reflow. The right-angle orientation means the solder joints are on one side of the board, and the part's plastic standoffs or solder tabs (the solder retention feature) keep it flat during paste reflow. For a 2-pin part, hand-soldering is also feasible if you're prototyping, but the SMT footprint is designed for a standard reflow profile.
