Contact system and durability
The 0512810894 is the 8-circuit member of Molex's Easy-On 51281 FFC/FPC connector series, using gold-plated phosphor bronze contacts with a 3.94 µin (0.10 µm) plating thickness. Rated for 20 mating cycles, the gold finish resists corrosion and maintains contact resistance through repeated insertions in field-service or test-fixture duty.
Pitch, stack height, and FFC fit
At 0.50 mm pitch with a 1.20 mm height above board, this right-angle ZIF connector accepts 0.30 mm-thick FFC or FPC with straight or tapered cable ends. Contacts mate on top and bottom, allowing either-side cable insertion without a dedicated contact side.
