Contact system and actuation
The 0522712069 is the 20-position member of Molex's 52271 series FPC connector family, using a ZIF slide-lock actuator and gold-plated phosphor bronze bottom contacts. Rated 50 V, the connector accepts 0.30 mm thick FPC with a tapered cable end and mounts at a 3.00 mm height above the board in a surface-mount right-angle orientation.
FPC fit and routing
The 1.00 mm pitch and bottom-contact configuration place the mating interface on the PCB side, which suits designs where the FPC routes over the top of the connector without interfering with the actuator. Solder retention features on the housing hold the part in place during reflow before the slide lock is engaged.
