22-position ZIF FFC connector at 0.50 mm pitch

The 0525592270 is the 22-position member of Molex's Easy-On 52559 FFC/FPC connector series, accepting 0.30 mm thick flat flex cable with a vertical, single-sided contact interface. Rated 0.5 A per contact at 50 V, the tin bismuth contacts are good for signal-level duty in space-constrained board-to-flex applications.

ZIF actuation and slide lock for cable retention

The zero insertion force (ZIF) mechanism with a slide lock eliminates contact wear during cable insertion — the actuator is opened, the FFC inserted, then the slide lock closes to clamp the cable. Mating cycles are rated at 20 cycles. The 0.50 mm pitch and 3.90 mm height above board suit dense layouts where the cable enters straight (vertical) from the board surface.
