The 6 GHz frequency ceiling covers common automotive RF bands (GPS, cellular, Wi-Fi) but not mmWave; above 6 GHz the VSWR rises beyond what the SMB interface geometry can hold flat. The 335 V voltage rating is generous for signal-level coax but matters if the line carries DC bias for an active antenna or LNA power feed. The 50 mating cycle rating is low — this is a set-and-forget connector for a harness assembly, not a test-port or frequent-disconnect point.
The contact and shield terminate by crimp — the centre contact crimps onto the RG-316 centre conductor, and the ferrule crimps over the braid and jacket. The shroud (blue/water colour) provides environmental sealing at the mating face when paired with the corresponding Fakra II receptacle.
