Board Layout and Assembly Fit
The right-angle SMT footprint keeps the connector body flush with the board edge, saving Z-height in a drive cage assembly. A pick-and-place cap (noted in the features) allows vacuum-pick automated placement on the SMT line, which is standard for high-volume backplane assembly. The Tape & Reel packaging (Cut Tape also available) feeds directly into the pick-and-place feeder.
