Tin-plated contacts for moderate-duty signal
Tin plating is rated for fewer mating cycles than gold — typically 25–50 cycles — but carries adequate corrosion resistance for indoor, general-purpose environments. The square male pins are made of brass, a standard choice for cost-effective signal contacts.
Board fit and mechanical details
The post length is 0.114" (2.90mm) — this determines how far the pins extend through the PCB. The insulation height is 0.142" (3.60mm), which is the standoff from the board surface to the bottom of the housing.
It mates with C-Grid III 90123 series receptacles or compatible female crimp housings that accept 0.025" square pins on 2.54mm pitch. The connector is listed for automotive and general-purpose applications. In automotive use, the tin plating and push-pull retention mean it's suited for non-vibrated, interior locations — not engine bay or underbody where sealed, locking connectors are required.
