Picoflex PF-50 10-Position IDC Receptacle
The Molex 0903273310 is a 10-position, single-row receptacle from the Picoflex PF-50 90327 series, designed for mass-termination of 26-28 AWG ribbon cable via its IDC (Insulation Displacement Contact) termination. This free-hanging (in-line) receptacle accepts a female socket contact finished in palladium-nickel with a thickness of 24.0 µin (0.61 µm) — a hard, wear-resistant plating that handles moderate mating cycles without the cost of gold. The white housing includes a feed-through feature, allowing the cable to pass through the connector body for daisy-chain or pass-through wiring in harness assemblies.
IDC termination is the key assembly advantage here: the 0903273310 accepts 26-28 AWG ribbon cable and terminates all 10 conductors in a single press operation — no stripping, no crimping individual contacts. The feed-through feature lets the cable exit the rear of the housing, which is useful for routing the ribbon cable through a panel or for creating a pass-through in a daisy-chain configuration.
This receptacle mates with the matching Picoflex PF-50 header — a 0.050" pitch, single-row, through-hole or SMT header (such as the 90325 or 90814 series). The palladium-nickel contact finish is compatible with both gold and tin-plated header pins, though for maximum mating cycle life, a gold-to-palladium-nickel interface is preferred. The free-hanging design means it is used as the cable-side half of the connection, with the header soldered to the PCB.
