The 0.100" (2.54mm) pitch matches standard 0.100" header footprints, and the closed-end housing prevents stubbing during mating.
The 14442106 uses insulation displacement contacts (IDC) for 28 AWG wire, accepting either discrete wires or ribbon cable. No crimp terminal is required — the IDC slot pierces the insulation and grips the conductor in one operation.
Mating Connector and Compatibility
This plug mates with Molex SL-series 0.100" pitch headers, typically the 70543 or 70545 series vertical or right-angle pin headers. The 6-position count and single-row keying ensure correct orientation. Gold-on-gold contact interface (15.0µin on both halves) supports repeated mating cycles without degradation.
