The Molex 1510140016 is a 16-circuit receptacle housing from the Milli-Grid 151014 series, a 2.00 mm pitch wire-to-board interconnect system.
The mating header is the male half that solders to the PCB; the receptacle housing then latches over it. For the wire side, you need the Milli-Grid crimp socket terminal — order the 16-circuit set of loose or reeled terminals (Molex part series 50394 or 50317, depending on wire gauge and plating). The housing has a secondary terminal position assurance (TPA) feature: after inserting each crimped terminal, push the TPA retainer forward to lock the contacts in place. Section a sample crimp to confirm the wire strands are fully captured — the 2.00 mm pitch leaves tight clearance for the terminal body, so the crimp height must stay within the terminal manufacturer's spec.
The product status is Active and RoHS3 compliant.
That means the mating header's pin field is a 2 x 8 array on 2.00 mm centres, and the board footprint for the header is the same. The tight pitch keeps the connector compact for 16 circuits, but it also limits the current per contact compared to a 2.54 mm system. The latch lock adds vibration resistance — you hear it click when the housing fully seats on the header. If your application needs a higher pin count at the same pitch, the Milli-Grid 151014 series also offers 20, 24, 30, and 40-position versions (e.g., 1510140020, 1510140024); the 16-position is the mid-range option for a typical I/O or sensor harness.
