At 3.50mm pitch, the 1722871206 offers a wider footprint than 2.54mm headers — routing is less dense but the mating receptacle handles higher current per circuit without derating. Gold mating finish (15.0µin) and tin post finish (60.0µin) are standard; the gold side handles the mating cycles, the tin side solders to the board. The square male pin contacts are copper alloy, fully loaded across all 6 positions. The shrouded 4-wall housing with latch holder prevents mis-mating and adds retention.
