45° Exit for Tight Cable Routing
The Molex 1731110190 is a two-piece D-sub backshell from the FMK series, designed for 9-position connectors with a 45° cable exit. The angled exit lets the cable lay flat against the panel or enclosure wall, saving space where a straight backshell would force a wider bend radius. The shielded zinc die-cast body with nickel plating provides EMI/RFI containment for the cable assembly, and the included cable clamp and strain relief secure the round cable against pull-out.
Hardware Included — No Extra Sourcing
This backshell ships with assembly hardware including 4-40 mating screws, a cable clamp, and strain relief. That means one line item on the BOM covers the full cable-dress package — no separate order for jack screws or a clamp. The 45° exit is the key difference from a straight-exit backshell: same shell size E compatibility, same 9-position and HD15-position fit, but the cable exits at an angle rather than straight out the back.
