The 5014610891: The 0.50mm pitch sets the board footprint and the per-contact current ceiling — at 0.3A the temperature rise stays within the polyamide housing limit for signal-level FPC interconnects. Eight positions cover narrow signal buses or sensor interfaces; the bottom-contact arrangement mates with a notched FPC end.
Right-angle SMT and z-height budget
The 0.80mm height above board keeps the connector low-profile; in a 1.6mm-thick PCB stack, the total z-height stays under 2.5mm, fitting tight enclosures.
Gold flash and mating cycle life
Gold contact finish at 3.94µin (0.10µm) is a flash grade — adequate for the 20 mating cycles the connector is rated for. In a product assembled once and field-serviced rarely, that cycle budget covers the build and a handful of rework events.
Actuator and FPC retention
The flip-lock / backlock actuator secures the FPC without a secondary latch — the white actuator pivots over the cable end and clicks into place. The connector accepts 0.12mm-thick FPC; the notched cable end aligns with the contact beam for consistent wipe.
