1.25mm pitch, 4 circuits, right-angle SMT — the footprint fit
The 5041950470 is a 4-position header from the Molex Micro-Lock 504195 series, built for board-to-cable/wire connections on a 1.25mm pitch. At 1.25mm, this is a fine-pitch wire-to-board interface, denser than the common 2.54mm (0.100-inch) header, so the board layout needs matching pad geometry. The 4-wall shrouding surrounds the male blades on all sides, protecting them from bent pins during handling and guiding the mating receptacle into alignment.
Latch lock and solder retention for vibration duty
Two mechanical features address vibration and cable strain. The latch lock clicks the mating receptacle into place and holds it there — no secondary locking required. Together they make this header suited for portable equipment or enclosures subject to movement. Tin is a cost-effective finish for moderate mating-cycle applications — expect a few dozen cycles before wear-through, compared to gold's hundreds. For a 4-circuit wire-to-board connection in a consumer or industrial control panel, tin is the standard choice.
