Pitch and footprint for board layout
The 5041951070: This is a 10-position single-row header on a 1.25mm pitch, right-angle SMT termination. The 1.25mm pitch sets the board-space budget per circuit — tighter than 2.54mm, so the footprint fits in a narrower corridor on the PCB. For a wire-to-board connection in a moving assembly, that latch is the difference between a reliable mate and a connector that walks loose.
SMT assembly with solder retention
Solder retention features are built into the header body — they hold the part flat against the board during reflow, reducing the chance of skew or tombstoning. The tin-plated posts (39.4µin thickness) wet well with standard lead-free solder paste. The 10-position version (5041951070) is the most common circuit count in this series. The 8-position sibling (5041951080) shares the same 1.25mm pitch and latch lock but trades two circuits — the board footprint just shortens by two positions.
