0.35 mm Pitch, 60 Circuits — Mezzanine Fit for Tight Z-Height
Its 0.014" (0.35 mm) pitch packs 60 circuits into a dual-row footprint — each row carries 30 signals, and the tight pitch forces fine-line PCB routing. The mated stack height is 1 mm, with the connector itself sitting 0.031" (0.80 mm) above the board after reflow. The contacts are gold-plated — standard for the SlimStack series — which handles the repeated mating cycles a mezzanine connector sees during board-level test and field service. Gold on the mating surface resists fretting corrosion in the low-insertion-force environment of a 0.35 mm pitch connector, where tin fretting would generate insulating oxides after a few cycles. Solder retention tabs are built into the plug body. Without them, a 60-position SMT part at this pitch would be prone to tombstoning or skew during reflow, especially on a board with uneven thermal mass.
The base product number is 505417, and the alternate MPN 505417-6010 refers to the same part — a Digi-Reel packaging variant. No official second-source or cross-reference exists beyond the Molex catalog; the 505417 series is proprietary to Molex.
