Product details

75 Ohm 1.0/2.3 Right-Angle Jack for Video I/O

The Samtec DIN7A-J-P-GF-RA-BH1 is a 75 Ohm 1.0/2.3 jack from the TRUE75™ DIN7A series, designed as a female socket for bulkhead panel-mount applications. The right-angle PCB tail and front-side nut let the connector sit flush against the panel while the signal path turns 90 degrees onto the board — a space-saving layout for shallow enclosures in broadcast video, CCTV, or test equipment.

What the 75 Ohm Impedance Means for the Signal Path

75 Ohm is the standard impedance for composite video, SDI, and broadcast video distribution — not a generic RF impedance like 50 Ohm. The 1.0/2.3 connector style (IEC 60169-6) is the compact 75 Ohm alternative to BNC, used where board space is tight and the signal is standard-definition or HD-SDI video. The right-angle tail keeps the trace length short from the connector to the video driver or receiver IC, minimising stub reflections at SDI data rates.

Mounting and Termination — What Ships in the Bag

The package includes two pieces: the connector body and the bulkhead nut. The connector is a right-angle PCB-mount jack with a solder-cup centre contact and solder tabs for the shield — no crimp tool needed. The bulkhead mounts from the front side of the panel; the nut tightens from behind to secure the connector. The nickel-plated brass body and silver housing colour are standard for indoor equipment racks; for outdoor or washdown enclosures, confirm the panel seal separately since the connector itself carries no IP rating.

Frequently asked questions

Does DIN7A-J-P-GF-RA-BH1 require a separate nut?

No — the package includes the connector and the bulkhead nut as two pieces. The nut is supplied in the bag; no additional hardware is needed for panel mounting.
