The MCX-J-P-H-RA-TH1 is a 50 Ohm MCX jack (female socket) from the MCX series, terminated through-hole at a right angle. It is the board-mount half of a snap-on RF interconnect — the mating plug clicks on without threads, which makes it faster to engage than an SMA but less suited to high-vibration environments where the cable is not strain-relieved.
Why the 50 Ohm and 6 GHz ratings matter for the signal path
50 Ohms is the standard impedance for RF transmission lines — the connector is designed to match a 50 Ohm trace or cable without a lumped discontinuity. The 6 GHz max frequency means the return loss stays within spec up to that point; above 6 GHz the geometry of the snap-on interface and the PTFE dielectric start to introduce mismatch. The 335 V rating is a peak voltage limit for the air gap at the mating interface — in practice the 50 Ohm line will limit power before the voltage does.
The gold body finish on the brass shell is cosmetic and corrosion-resistant, not a functional plating thickness spec.
