USB 2.0 Type-A receptacle with board lock
The USB-A-S-F-B-VU is the right-angle, vertical-flag member of Samtec's USB-A receptacle family, a USB 2.0 Type-A port with 4 gold-plated contacts rated for 1500 mating cycles. The shielded phosphor bronze shell and integral board lock provide retention during reflow and vibration resistance in the mated assembly; the operating range spans -50°C to 85°C at 30VAC.
Mounting orientation across the series
Within the USB-A receptacle series, the USB-A-S-F-B-VU's vertical-flag mounting differs from the purely vertical USB-A-S-F-B-VT and the horizontal USB-A-S-F-B-TH — all three share the 4-contact USB 2.0 interface, gold plating, and 1500-cycle durability, so the choice is driven by the PCB edge orientation and panel cutout direction.
