The USB-A-S-S-B-SM2 is Samtec's 4-contact USB 2.0 Type-A receptacle in the USB-A series, surface-mount right-angle with a horizontal mounting orientation. Rated 30VAC, gold-plated contacts, and rated for 1500 mating cycles — the contact finish supports repeated plug/unplug duty in field-service or lab equipment.
Board guide and solder retention
Board guide and solder retention features are built into the housing — the guide aligns the plug during insertion and the retention pads hold the connector in place through reflow and rework. The copper alloy shell provides EMI shielding; the UL94 V-0 rated black insulation handles the -50°C to 85°C operating range.
