AMP-Latch 10-Position IDC Plug
The TE Connectivity AMP-Latch 1-111492-5 is a 10-position IDC plug designed for mass-termination of 26-28 AWG ribbon cable.
Ribbon Cable Termination & Wire Range
IDC termination means the ribbon cable is pressed onto insulation-displacement forks in one step — no individual wire stripping or crimping. The 26-28 AWG range covers standard 0.050" pitch ribbon cable used for parallel data buses and GPIO headers. The feed-through feature allows daisy-chaining multiple plugs along the same cable run, and the polarizing key prevents reversed insertion into the mating receptacle.
Mating & Mounting
It mates with the AMP-Latch receptacle (such as the 1-226733-4, 17-position version) that has female sockets and a detent lock. The latch lock/eject hooks on the plug engage the receptacle's locking ears; the eject levers help break the friction fit when un-mating in tight spaces.
