The 75 Ohm impedance is the critical spec. This adapter is designed for 75 Ohm systems — video, broadcast, CATV, and legacy telecom — not the 50 Ohm test-equipment world. Using it in a 50 Ohm chain creates a 25 Ohm mismatch at the tee, which will reflect signal energy and degrade the return loss. If your system is 50 Ohm, you need a 50 Ohm BNC T-adapter; the 1-1337458-1 is not electrically interchangeable.
