This is a bulkhead-mount connector — front-side nut secures it through a panel cutout, and the shield terminates via a clamp over the cable braid. The kit includes the connector body, clamp, contact, ferrule, lockwasher, nut, and washer, so nothing extra to order for a clean cable assembly. Rated for RG-174A, RG-188A, and RG-316 coax — the 0.3 dB insertion loss and 500-cycle mating life suit it for test-equipment patch panels and instrumentation where the connector sees regular connect-disconnect cycles.
The connector is designed for RG-174A, RG-188A, and RG-316 cable — all 50 Ohm small-diameter coax with similar dielectric diameters. The centre contact solders to the signal wire; the shield clamp captures the braid against the ferrule, and the nut tightens the assembly. It does not accept RG-58 — the cable OD and dielectric are too large for this clamp body.
Mounting and hardware
Panel-mount with a bulkhead front-side nut — the jack drops through the panel from the outside, and the nut tightens from behind. The kit includes the lockwasher and nut, so no separate hardware sourcing is needed. The snap-on fastening mates with standard SMB push-on receptacles; the gold-on-brass centre contact and gold body finish resist corrosion in repeated connect cycles.
