Surface-Mount Termination & Build Notes
This jack terminates with solder contacts and a solder shield termination, and it mounts via surface mount — so it reflows onto the PCB pad alongside other SMT parts. The centre contact is phosphor bronze with gold plating, and the brass body gets a gold finish too. That gold-on-gold mating interface, combined with the PTFE dielectric, holds up to 500 mating cycles without wearing through the plating. For a board layout engineer: the SMT footprint keeps the RF path short, but the snap-on retention means the mating plug exerts a small axial push during engagement — make sure the board pads have enough solder fillet to take that shear without lifting.
Temperature Range & Dielectric
The PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) dielectric holds its dielectric constant across that range, so the 50 Ohm impedance stays stable. The voltage rating is 335 V — more than enough for RF-level signals, but worth noting if this jack ends up carrying a DC bias line.
