75 Ohm BNC for Video and Broadband
Its 75 Ohm impedance and 1 GHz maximum frequency target video distribution, broadcast, and broadband data — not the 50 Ohm RF world. The nickel-plated brass body and gold-plated centre contact handle the signal path, while the bayonet lock secures the mate. Rated for 500 mating cycles, it holds up in field-serviceable installations.
The 75 Ohm impedance matches standard video coax and 75 Ohm test equipment. At 1 GHz, the insertion loss is 0.5 dB. The 500 V rating is the dielectric withstand. The solder cup termination accepts the centre conductor of the coax.
Mounting and Hardware
This is a rear-side-nut bulkhead mount — the jack passes through the panel from the outside, and the included lockwasher and nut secure it from behind. The package includes three pieces: the connector, the lockwasher, and the nut. No separate hardware order needed. The isolated feature (no DC path from shell to ground) is useful where the panel is grounded separately.
No official cross-reference or second-source is on record, but the 75 Ohm BNC interface is standard — any 75 Ohm BNC jack with the same mounting and termination will mate mechanically.
